Perfectly illustrating the fledgling steps of reporters in the field of documentary films, the stories contained in the boîtes vertes (green cans) between 1900 and 1930 are all special editions, giving viewers an opportunity to look back on major historical events: Queen Victoria's funeral in 1901, the Russian Revolution, World War I, victory parades, the history of the USA and more . 

The green cans offer an overview of the early 20th century as seen through the eyes of celebrities of that era, such as Emile Zola, Josephine Baker (in her first revue of 1926) and even Charles Lindbergh in 1927 .
